![]() Taxable property values are down 12 percent across Lee County compared with last year, according to preliminary figures released June 2 by Lee County Property Appraiser Ken Wilkinson. Taxable values dropped to $84.5 billion, down $11.9 billion. Market values, or the value the property would sell for on the open market, also fell 12 percent to $109.9 billion. The property values include 530,084 parcels. The municipality with the biggest change in taxable value was Cape Coral, down 27 percent and the municipality with the smallest change was Fort Myers, which is down 3 percent. The fire district with the biggest change is Lehigh Acres, which is down 23 percent. The smallest change is in the Captiva Fire district, up 3 percent.
