2012 Mother of the Year
Mom is the glue that holds the family together. Let her know how important she is by nominating her in the 2012 Mother of the Year Contest. We’re accepting nominations through April 10. All moms in Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties with children younger than 18 are eligible to win. If your mom makes it to the Top 10, you’ll have the chance to vote her to the supreme position of parenthood come May. The winning Mother of the Year will be announced in The News-Press and online at news-press.com/moms on Mother’s Day, May 13. For official rules, click here.
To enter, fill in the required fields below, and in 200 words or less, tell us why your nominee should be Mother of the Year. (Moms may also nominate themselves.) Your essay should explain why your nominee should be the 2012 Mother of the Year with personal stories, community service and/or accomplishments
Once the essays are compiled, a panel of judges will choose the Top 10 moms of Southwest Florida. We’ll interview each of the 10 moms and post her video during a public voting period, May 4-10. The mom with the most votes will be announced as the 2012 Mother of the Year in The News-Press and online on Mother’s Day, May 13.
